About Dave Levey

After discovering CrossFit in July 2011, Dave went on to complete his Level 1 Trainer Certification and open up his CrossFit Affiliate in November 2011.

Dave represented Africa with four finishes and one podium at the CrossFit Games, going toe-to-toe with some of the greatest names in the sport, including Rich Froning, Mathew Fraser, Jason Khalipa, Ben Smith and Marcus Filly. He was 2018’s 2nd Fittest Man on Earth (40-45 years), and successfully coached female athlete Eva Thornton to her first place finish at the CrossFit Games in 2018 (50-54 years).

Dave is a Level 2 Certified CrossFit Trainer, Box owner of CrossFit Algoa, was the Head Strength & Conditioning coach for the Southern Kings during their 2014 Super Rugby season and holds a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under Prof. Marcus Soares (Carlson Gracie Team). He holds a Bcomm HMS degree, has a Masters in Exercise Science (Cum Laude) and is a qualified Biokineticist.
